We are a community of God's people bound together by His Grace, His love and His Word. Because of our identity in Christ, we seek to make his presence visible in our contemporary mobile community by providing an inclusive, open, welcoming and inviting environment. We seek to worship, learn and live in accordance with God's Word, and therefore involve ourselves in serving the local and global needs of God's people.

One of our primary missions, is our children. We have Sunday School every Sunday of the school year at 9:00am click here for more information
We also have an Active Puppet ministry, led by our teen-aged youth Click Here to see one of our presentations
New this year we have a Children's church for 3-5 yr olds during service (Children leave the Sanctuary before Scriptures are read.)

"Bear Hug" Quilts: God gave Debra the idea to help the older children get through their serious illness, by letting them know that they were not alone. That even if their parents were not always with them, that there were people praying for them & giving them "Hugs".
"Prayer Hug" Shawls: Some of the ladies said they didn't sew, but wanted to be a part of the Fun and Fellowship that “Bear Hugs” was bringing. So, If You Crochet, bring 3 1/2 skeins of yarn and a size N hook, If You Knit, bring 3 skeins of yarn and size 11 or 13 needles
We meet on the FIRST Monday of each month between 11:30 am - 4:00 pm. We open with a prayer, enjoy a potluck themed lunch and get down to a day of Bear & Prayer Hugging.
If you would like to make a donation, make the check out to Ascension Lutheran Church , write Bear Hugs ( $30) or Prayer Hugs ($10) in the memo. Our Mission :
1. To come together to be a Hands On Ministry, to strengthen our own relationship with our congregation and with God.
2. To use the power of prayer and faith to hold each other and those in need of comfort in prayer.
3. To present those in need of comfort in our congregation and community with a “Hug” filled with love and prayers; so that they may wrap themselves in a tangible symbol of God’s love.
