"The Ascension Lutheran Church's Men's Group meets on the second Saturday of each month, at 8:00 am, for Breakfast and Fellowship. We eat breakfast, catch up on the latest news, tell tall tales and enjoy each other's company. After breakfast, we work on church projects, help with special community projects, or take care of any lawn care and maintenance needs at the church. All men of the community are invited. These Stories will help us think about our call to discipleship in the complexity for today's world. This study will revolve around three words, "Hessed" a Hebrew word meaning extravagant loving loyalty that goes beyond the expected, "Heroic"- those taken actions that involve great risk to those taking them, and "The Hidden Hand" refers to the unseen hand of God in these stories.
